PENGUINS FOOD AND WINE JOURNEY

Only an hour from Melbourne we start the day at Moonlit
Sanctuary, Australian Wildlife Conservation Park.

You can wander through 10 hectares of bush land

meeting endangered species, feeding kangaroos and wallabies, enjoying
encounters with colourful birds, reptiles, dingoes and many other animals.

Any animal encounters or ranger talks can be booked

by us and are at your expense

Next stop is Purple Hen Vineyard and Winery which

is a favoured winery on the South Gippsland Wine trail. You will enjoy a
tasting and a cheese platter and soak in the amazing views from this family
owned winery. All wine is produced from estate grown fruit, vintage and
varietal in character. The wines from these vintages are gaining national and
some international recognition as excellent quality, cool climate table wines
of distinction.

We leave Purple Hen to await the extraordinary
arrival of the little penguins from the beach. You will view this event from
Penguins Plus Viewing Platform, located in an area to provide a closer look of
the penguins on parade and a more personalised experience. Rangers at Penguins
Plus will talk about the marvel of world’s smallest penguins and their
fascinating lives.

Experience that electrifying moment as you spot the
first little penguins emerging from the sea and waddling along a Phillip Island
beach at dusk. The daily parade of little penguins draws thousands of visitors
from

around the globe every year. Line the observation boardwalks at Phillip Island
Nature Park at dusk to see them race up Summerland Beach to their burrows.
Bring warm clothing year-round, as the nights on the beach can be cool.

Relax as you dine in one of the best restaurants on
Phillip Island with dinner at Watermark Restaurant, Silverwater Resort or Harry’s
on the Esplanade. Both offer 2-course menus to show the beautiful seasonal
produce of the area with a glass of wine from the regions
